It is our task to partner with the churches of the BCNY territory and beyond to see a vital, evangelizing, disciplining, reproducing church within driving or walking distance of each of the twenty-six million people in our region in their own heart language. We also offer several other mission opportunities, such as, Church Planting, Disaster relief, Volunteer Missions/Partnerships, Men's Ministry, James Mission Offering. These ministries & partnerships are not only designed to enable us to receive assistance from others, but also to enable us to send mission teams to these various locations to assist them in carrying our the Great Commission.
We believe that one of the most effective and efficient ways to reach the lost of our region is by planting vital, evangelizing, disciplining, reproducing churches.
The Baptist Convention of New York desires to see every church in our region to be involved in church planting at some level, either through prayer, people, or financial assistance. The goal of the Missions Division is to come alongside 18-20 church planting churches to assist them in training, assessments, encouragement, coaching and perhaps funding. The long term goal is to see 60 of these type of multiplying churches within the next 5 years, and to see 45+ new churches each year to reach a variety of people.
Chaplaincy is an expression of ministry that places chaplains inside various settings, which include healthcare agencies, corporations, prisons, public safety agencies, and the military services. The Baptist Convention of New York Missions Division can assist you in obtaining endorsement to serve as a chaplain through the Southern Baptist Convention Chaplains Commission.

An On Mission Celebration introduces international, North American, state, and local on-mission Christians, highlighting the continuing missions opportunities and needs of Southern Baptists. Participants are encouraged to examine their personal and on-mission commitments in a festive and energetic atmosphere.
OMCs are customized for churches and associations. An OMC can be scheduled as an association-wide event, as a regional event hosted by one church, or by a group of churches cooperating together.
An OMC builds relationships between church members and Southern Baptist missionaries. It emphasizes the biblical basis for missions, leading the church to broaden their missions commitment and strengthen financial support of missionaries.
OMCs can also inspire a deeper commitment to pray for missions and missionaries as well as lead churches to re-evaluate their methods of church-wide missions awareness and mobilization.
